Group I: Lebanon 0-5 Australia

Canberra: Australia secured their place in the third round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers and booked their berth at AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ following their emphatic 5-0 win over Lebanon in the Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 Group I tie on Tuesday.

Having defeated their visitors by a 2-0 scoreline in the first meeting in Parramatta last Thursday, the home side got off to a fast start at Gio Stadium in Canberra through Kusini Yengi in the second minute of the match, before an own-goal early in the second half then doubled the advantage.
 
A man-of-the-match performance by winger Craig Goodwin was then capped by a stunning strike to make it 3-0 to the Socceroos, before substitute John Iredale and Goodwin once more found the net to wrap up the points for Graham Arnold’s men.

Keanu Baccus and Kye Rowles scored their first international goals for the home side early in each half as the Socceroos posted a comfortable victory at a packed Western Sydney Stadium.

Jeddah: Jordan will take on Nepal in the final of the West Asian Football Federation Women's Championship 2024 after they won their semi-final ties in contrasting fashion on Tuesday.

Defending champions Jordan cruised 5-0 past Palestine while Nepal scored in the fourth minute of second half added time to edge Lebanon 2-1.

Jeddah: Jordan will head into the West Asian Football Federation Women's Championship 2024 semi-finals as the firm favourites after ending their Group A campaign with a 2-0 win over Lebanon on Friday.

Jeddah: Jordan and Lebanon confirmed their West Asian Football Federation Women's Championship 2024 semi-final spots with a match to spare on Wednesday.

Defending champions Jordan defeated Guam 3-0 while Lebanon edged hosts Saudi Arabia 3-2 with the two sides to meet on Friday to determine the Group A winners.

Basra: Al Ahed beat Al Kahrabaa 4-2 on penalties after the two sides played out a 1-1 aggregate draw in their AFC Cup™ 2023/24 West Zonal semi-final, following Al Ahed’s 1-0 win in the second leg at the Basra International Stadium on Tuesday.

The win takes 2019 AFC Cup winners Al Ahed of Lebanon into a West Zonal final against Al Nahda of Oman in April.
