Kuala Lumpur: Several members of the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 cast were in action in international friendlies on Saturday as they continued their build-up to the Continental showpiece.

Suzhou: China PR and India played to a 0-0 draw at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.

While India had a couple of chances to score, China PR dominated but failed to convert their superiority into goals.

China PR took control from the first blow of the referee's whistle, forcing India to defend in numbers.

However, it was India who had the first real chance of the match when Sunil Chhetri played the ball to Pronay Halder, who was quick to relay it to Anirudh Thapa.

Thapa sent a perfect pass to the overlapping Pritam Kotal but his shot was well saved by China goalkeeper Yan Junling.

China PR, who lost 1-0 to Qatar and were held 0-0 by Bahrain during the September international break, were again denied by the woodwork when Wu Lei's effort from close range hit the crossbar.

Forced to defend for long periods, India nearly enjoyed a sensational ending to the match when Farukh Choudhary had goal in his sight deep into added time but China PR goalkeeper Yan Junling reacted quickly as the match ended 0-0.

Up next for China PR will be a friendly against Syria on Tuesday.
