One of the most iconic moments in the history of Iraq’s 2007 AFC Asian Cup campaign was their triumph over Saudi Arabia in the final at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. The deadlock was broken in the 71st minute when Iraq midfielder Hawar Mulla Mohammed sent in a corner from the right and Younes Mahmoud rose high to nod home the winner past Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Yasser Al Mosailem.

Tadanari Lee (JPN)
2011 AFC Asian Cup
Australia v Japan (29.01.2011)

Tadanari Lee came on as substitute just before extra time but emerged the hero as his perfectly timed left-footed volley off Yuto Nagatomo's cross from the left flank gave Australia goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer no chance as Japan sealed a fourth AFC Asian Cup title.

Widodo Putra (IDN) vs Nawaf Al Temyat (KSA)

Widodo Putra (IDN)

Indonesia v Kuwait (04.12.1996)

Indonesia, making their first appearance in the Finals of the AFC Asian Cup, made a major impact as forward Widodo Putra finished Yeyen Tumera's cross with an acrobatic finish for what remains one of the Continental showpiece tournament's most breathtaking goals.

Nawaf Al Temyat (KSA)
2000 AFC Asian Cup
Kuwait v Saudi Arabia (24.10.2000)

With the match deadlocked, Al Hilal midfielder Nawaf Al Temyat produced a moment of brilliance when he latched onto a square pass before firing a powerful drive from just above the penalty area into the top right corner.
