Kalin names unchanged Nepal squad for Australia, Jordan ties

Kathmandu: Head coach Johan Kalin will be expecting the same spirit Nepal showed against Chinese Taipei when they take on Australia and Jordan in their upcoming Asian Qualifiers Group B matches.

Nepal suffered a 7-0 defeat to Kuwait in their opening FIFA World Cup Qatar 2020 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 qualifying match on September 5 but showed tremendous grit just five days later as they rebounded with a 2-0 win over Chinese Taipei.

Kalil had admitted then that the win was something the South Asians desperately needed after their Kuwait defeat and has named an unchanged squad for Nepal's next two tests.

Nepal will play Australia in Canberra on October 10 and Jordan in Amman five days later.

Both teams opened their campaigns with resounding wins, with Jordan defeating Chinese Taipei 2-1 and Australia seeing off Kuwait 3-0.

Anjun Bista starred for Nepal against Chinese Taipei by scoring both goals but Kalin will be counting on his entire squad to play their part against Australia and Jordan.
