MD3 - Group B: Jordan 0-0 Kuwait

Amman: Jordan and Kuwait had to settle for a share of the points after playing to a goalless draw in their Asian Qualifiers Group B match at the Amman International Stadium on Thursday.

Jordan came into the tie looking for their second win after having defeated Chinese Taipei 2-1 on Matchday One.

Kuwait, meanwhile, were looking to bounce back after having lost 3-0 to Australia in their second match, after having scored an impressive 7-0 win over Nepal in their opener.

The defeat to Australia had cost Croatian Romeo Jozak his job as head coach and Thamer Enad Meshehem Alenezi was in the Kuwait dugout.

Jordan, with home ground advantage, dominated the tie but Vital Borkelmans' side - who had targeted a maximum six points during this international window, couldn't find a way past the Kuwait wall.

Neither could Kuwait, who will now have to wait till November 14 when they play Chinese Taipei to try and regain their winning edge.

Jordan will play Nepal on Tuesday, confident of taking the three points from the South Asians who were defeated 5-0 by Australia earlier on Thursday.
