MD6 - Group B: Jordan 5-0 Chinese Taipei
Amman: Jordan stormed to a 5-0 victory over Chinese Taipei on Matchday Six of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Asian Qualifiers at King Abdullah II Stadium on Tuesday.
The win took Jordan to 10 points, level with Kuwait but trailing on goal difference with Australia leading on 12 points with a match in hand.
Chinese Taipei, meanwhile, suffered their fifth consecutive defeat to remain rooted at the bottom of the standings.

Al Nashama needed just four minutes to get off the mark as Baha Faisal latched onto Mousa Al Taamari’s through pass and applied a composed finished past goalkeeper Wen-chieh Pan.
The hosts continued to dominate possession and found an opening again 20 minutes later as Ahmed Ersan caught the Chinese Taipei goalkeeper off-guard, unleashing a thunderous drive from 25 yards out that nestled into the top corner.
Salem Al Ajalin made it 3-0 for the hosts just before the break.
The full-back was first to pounce on the rebound after Yazan Al Arab’s header cannoned off the woodwork and crawled across the mouth of goal, leaving Al Ajalin with a simple tap-in to finish the job.
Vital Borkelmans’ side were just as dominant after the restart as Hamza Al Dardour added a fourth in the 61st minute. The striker curled a free-kick past the visitors’ wall and into the bottom corner.
Just as he started the scoring on the night, it was Faisal who rounded it off with a fifth goal 15 minutes before the final whistle. The Al Wehdat man struck with venom and his shot bounced off the ground, tricking the goalkeeper to make it 5-0 at the final whistle.
Jordan will next be in action on March 31 against Kuwait away while Chinese Taipei will play five days earlier against Nepal.
