Bededo: Philippines head coach Goran Milojevic praised his side's resilience after they bounced from an opening day defeat to beat Guam 4-1 in the Asian Qualifiers on Tuesday.
Philippines went into the match on the back of a 5-2 defeat to Syria on Matchday One of their Group A campaign in qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
With Guam also having lost their opener 1-0 to Maldives, it was a match both sides had to win and at the end of 90 minutes, it was the Philippines who bagged the three points.

Kuala Lumpur: It was another day of thrills and spills as Matchday Two of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 concluded on Tuesday.
There were winning starts for Australia, China PR, Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Korea Republic and the United Arab Emirates while Saudi Arabia were held to a 2-2 draw by Yemen.
Bangladesh, the final team to open their campaign on Matchday 2, were edged 1-0 by Afghanistan.

Guam: Philippines got back on track with a 4-1 win over Guam in Group A of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 at the Guam FA Field on Tuesday.
Philippines rebounded in style from their 5-2 defeat to Syria on the opening day while it was Guam's second successive loss, having fallen 1-0 to Maldives on Matchday One.

Brazilian-born Elkeson became the first player without Chinese ancestry to ever play for the national team, and capped his debut with two late goals, as China PR made light work of the hosts to ease to a comprehensive win.
Wu Xi, Wu Lei and Yang Xu also scored for the East Asians, who lead the way in Group A on goal difference as one of four teams on three points.

Kuwait City: Australia opened their Asian Qualifiers Group B campaign for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 with an emphatic 3-0 win over Kuwait at the Kuwait Sports Club Stadium on Tuesday.
Kuwait came into the game on a high following their 7-0 humbling of Nepal at the same ground five days earlier, but Romeo Jozak’s men were brought back down to earth quickly as the visitors got off to a flying start.
Seven minutes were all that Australia needed to move in front through Mathew Leckie. The Kuwaiti defence failed to deal with an Aaron Mooy in-swinging corner and Jackson Irvine fumbled his shot on the rebound, but the ball found its way to Leckie who stabbed it home from inside the six-yard box.

Manama: Yemen and Saudi Arabia settled for a 2-2 draw in their Asian Qualifiers Group D tie for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 on Tuesday.
Yemen twice led only for Saudi Arabia, who were opening their campaign, to force themselves back into the match at the Bahrain National Stadium.

Doha: India displayed some resilient defending and goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu impressed as India held reigning Asian champions Qatar to a 0-0 draw at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Group E of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 on Tuesday.
The result leaves Qatar - who defeated Afghanistan 6-0 on Matchday 1, top of the group with four points, while India collect their first point, having lost 2-1 to Oman in the opening match.
