Renard names Saudi Arabia squad for Jamaica friendlies


Riyadh: Saudi Arabia national team head coach Herve Renard has called 28 players for his side’s two friendly matches against Jamaica.

The friendlies will kick off Saudi Arabia’s preparations for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

Saudi Arabia are currently second in Group D of the Asian Qualifiers with eight points from four matches, with four ties still to play.

The Green Falcons will play their first match against Jamaica on Saturday, with the second three days later. Both games will be played at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium.

Saudi Arabia squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohammed Al Yami, Abdullah Al Owaishir, Habib Al Wotayan.
Defenders: Abdullah Madu, Ziad Al Sahafi, Mohammed Al Khabrani, Hassan Tambakti, Ahmed Sharahili, Saeed Al Robeai, Ali Al Bulaihi, Yasser Al Shahrani, Sultan Al Ghanam, Mohammed Al Breik, Abdullah Hassoun.
Midfielders: Salman Al Faraj, Mohamed Kanno, Abdulellah Al Malki, Turki Al Ammar, Abdulmajeed Al Sulaihem, Housain Al Mogahwi, Salem Al Dawsari, Ayman Yahya, Hattan Bahebri, Nawaf Al Abed.
Forwards: Abdulfattah Adam, Saleh Al Shehri, Firas Al Brikan, Abdullah Al Hamdan.
