Kuala Lumpur: Al Hilal SFC reinforced their credentials as one of the Continent’s best clubs by clinching the 2019 AFC Champions League title with a dominant 3-0 aggregate win over Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds over two legs.

Al Hilal showcased the art of ‘attacking with and without the ball’ via their collective advanced pressing backed by a high defensive line, which allowed the team to operate as a compact unit.

AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh reflected on the convincing nature of Al Hilal’s victory, "The intensity of Al Hilal’s game was exceptional.

"A positive feature, especially bearing in mind all the comments about lack of intensity among teams from the West. Time will tell whether it sets a trend. But it certainly represented a shift in the tide."
