ACL2018 MD3 Toyota Player of the Week: Ricardo Goulart

Kuala Lumpur: Guangzhou Evergrande's Ricardo Goulart has been named the Toyota Player of the Week for Matchday Three of the 2018 AFC Champions League.

A fantastic four-goal salvo from Brazilian forward Ricardo Goulart led Guangzhou Evergrande to a rollercoaster 5-3 win over Jeju United in their Group G Matchday Three clash at Tianhe Stadium on Tuesday.

The 2015 AFC Champions League MVP and Top Scorer impressively netted all of his tally in the second half of the tie, helping spark another magical night of continental football in southern China. The pick of the bunch was a delicate chipped effort, which saw saw him nominated for the Allianz Goal of the Week.

Goulart's four goals came from four on target, with the 26-year-old chalking up a total of seven shots on goal. The 2015 AFC Foreign Player of the Year also registered a passing accuracy of 80 percent to earn a 9.5 rating to top the Toyota standings for this week.

Kim Shin-wook (pictured below) also shone on Matchday Three with the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors forward the second highest scorer in this week's games after a hat-trick in the Korean champions' 6-3 win against Tianjin Quanjian.

The 29-year-old's treble came from four shots on target, and from a total of five efforts on goal. Kim also won six duels and registered a 76 percent passing accuracy to earn a 9.4 rating in what was a fine night's work for the Korea Republic international.

Having won the Matchday Two Player of the Week accolade, Shanghai SIPG's Oscar (below) enjoyed another superlative outing on the continental stage. The former Chelsea star netted a brace in his side's 2-2 draw with Ulsan Hyundai and rounds off this week's top three.

The Brazilian midfielder created eight chances for his teammates - a record in this year's campaign so far - and completed 75 passes, as well as totalling six shots on goal for his 9.1 score.

Another player who featured in the Toyota Rankings for Matchday Two appears again this time around: Al Duhail's Youssef El Arabi.

Once more the Moroccan takes fourth spot with an 8.7 rating in similar circumstances: two goals in the Doha side's 3-2 win, although this time against Lokomotiv.

Completing the top five is Zobahan forward Morteza Tabrizi who also registers an 8.7 after his brace in the 2-0 win over the UAE's Al Wahda in Isfahan.

Jeonbuk's Han Kyo-won is next with an 8.7 after a goal and a pair of assists in his side's big win over Tianjin, followed by Marat Bikmaev of Lokomotiv and Buriram United defender Andres Tunez who score an 8.6 and 8.3 rating respectively.
