Best Goal of 2020 AFC Champions League: The Final


Kuala Lumpur: After two weeks of intense competition featuring 20 of the best goals, we are down to the final of the Best Goal of the 2020 AFC Champions League.

The semi-finals garnered hundreds of thousands of votes with Persepolis FC's Mehdi Abdi Qara leading the way with two of his goals making the final.

Abdi Qara, however, won't have it easy in the final - which will feature six goals - as Yokohama F. Marinos' Theerathon Bunmathan, Al Nassr duo Abderrazak Hamdallah and Abdulrahman Al Obaid and Esteghlal FC's Cheick Diabate also enjoyed sizeable support in the semi-finals.

Abdulrahman Al Obaid
Al Nassr vs Al Sadd SC, Matchday One

Trailing 2-1 to Al Sadd on the opening day of the 2020 AFC Champions League, Al Nassr levelled in some style when Abdulrahman Al Obaid rocketed home a left-foot effort from 30 yards.


Theerathon Bunmathan
Yokohama F. Marinos vs Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Matchday Five

In a match of defending domestic champions, Yokohama F. Marinos' Thai star Theerathon Bunmathan helped ensure the Japanese side came out on top with a perfectly placed strike from distance that left goalkeeper Song Bum-keun rooted to the spot.


Mehdi Abdi Qara
Persepolis FC vs Ulsan Hyundai FC, Final

In the right place at the right time on the biggest stage in Asian club football, Mehdi Abdi Qara intercepted a loose ball, calmly strode forward, created space with a stutter-step, and cleverly sent the ball into the far corner to give the Iranian side the lead in the 2020 AFC Champions League final.

Fans can vote for their favourite goal once a day. Result will be announced at 16:00 (UTC+8) on January 14.
