JDT’s Hariss Harun to further studies with Coventry University

Johor: After a week of teasing Johor Darul Ta’zim fans, Hariss Harun has announced his plan to further his studies with Coventry University.

The 29-year-old JDT and Singapore skipper will be undertaking his new role as a PSB Academy Ambassador and student of Coventry University’s Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business and Marketing.

Flexible lesson arrangements will allow Harun to juggle his time between football and studies.

“I think it’s important to plan for life after football, hence my decision to join PSB Academy to do my bachelors,” said Harun in an Instagram post.

“They’re an institution that has provided me with a path that I wish to take after my football career. It’s important to also equip yourself with tools and skills.

“I’d like to thank PSB for giving me this opportunity, and my club, JDT, and my boss, TMJ (JDT owner Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim), for giving me the support to further my studies. Last but not least, my family, who’s given me the support and backing.

“I wish everyone all the best, and a successful journey for all of us.”

JDT emerged champions of the Malaysia Super League for the seventh time last weekend, after recording a second undefeated season.

The Southern Tigers are scheduled to resume their 2020 AFC Champions League campaign on November 19 in Doha, Qatar. Currently second in the standings with three points to their name, JDT are set to face China PR’s Guangzhou Evergrande FC.
