Kuala Lumpur: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) have sealed a place in the 2020 AFC Champions League after confirming their sixth consecutive Malaysia Super League title on Wednesday.
JDT, who made their AFC Champions League group stage debut this year with some commendable performances, including a win over defending champions Kashima Antlers, defeated Melaka United 2-1 on Wednesday to build an unassailable 16-point lead over second-placed Pahang FA.

JDT went into the match against Melaka United knowing that a win would seal them the title following Pahang's 5-2 loss to Selangor FA the day before.
Nazmi Faiz gave them the lead in the seventh minute with Diogo widening their advantage in the 27th.
Agna pulled one back for Melaka from the penalty spot but JDT were never really in danger of conceding another goal as they celebrated their title triumph - with four matches to go - at the final whistle.
