Milojević takes charge of Al Ahli Saudi FC

Jeddah: Vladan Milojević has been appointed Al Ahli Saudi FC head coach, the Saudi Pro League outfit have announced.


The 49-year-old Serbian replaces Swiss Christian Gross, who parted ways with the club recently following a series of indifferent results.

A former defender, Milojevic began his coaching career as an assistant coach with Serbian outfit Čukarički, before working with youth setups at Iraklis and Red Star Belgrade.

Milojević moved to Cyprus after coaching Omonia, and then took charge of Paniōnios in Greece, while his latest coaching stint was with Red Star Belgrade who he led to the Serbian SuperLiga title twice.

Al Ahli currently top Group A of the 2020 AFC Champions League after sharing a 1-1 draw with Al Wahda FSCC of the UAE in their opener before defeating Esteghlal FC of Islamic Republic of Iran 2-1 on Matchday Two.
