In a highly competitive affair between the league champions of Jordan and Kuwait, Al Faisaly took the lead in the 10th minute through Anas Abed Aljabarat.
Kuwait SC, however, were far from disheartened as they took the game to Al Faisaly in search of the equaliser and their efforts paid off in the 34th minute with forward Yousef Naser drawing them level.
The second half was a cagey affair with neither team able to find a breakthrough, forcing an additional 30 minutes.
Neither side was willing to take risks in extra time until Alhajeri provided the finishing touch a minute from the end to take Kuwait SC into a meeting with Islamic Republic of Iran's Esteghlal FC in the Preliminary Stage Two on January 21.
The winners of the Preliminary Stage Two tie will advance to the Play-off round against Qatar's Al Rayyan SC on January 28 with the triumphant team taking their place in Group A alongside Al Wahda FSCC of the UAE, Iraq's Al Shorta and another team from the qualifying stages.
