Doha: Suwon Samsung Bluewings' Kim Tae-hwan has been voted by the fans as the 2020 AFC Champions League (East) Toyota Player of the Week after an excellent display in his side's come-from-behind 3-2 Round of 16 win over Yokohama F. Marinos as the K League 1 team advanced to the quarter-finals.
The midfielder, who amassed 50 percent of the fans' votes, drilled home Suwon's equaliser with a superb strike from outside the box just before the hour mark with his first goal of the campaign, He earned an 8.0 rating from Stats Perform – the AFC's official data provider.
Despite starting Ulsan Hyundai's Round of 16 tie against Melbourne Victory on the substitutes bench, striker Bjorn Johnsen (below) topped Stats Perform's rankings after having a major impact once he was introduced at half-time.
Johnsen, who Stats Perform gave a rating of 8.2, broke the deadlock shortly after the hour mark when he rifled home from close range, before adding his team's crucial third four minutes from time to ensure Ulsan's passage into the quarter-finals.
Yoon Bit-garam (below, centre) came third on Stats Perform's rankings with a rating of 7.9 after yet another impressive performance in the AFC Champions League, marking the third time he has featured in the weekly rankings.
The Korean earned an assist after it was his free-kick that Won Du-jae headed home for Ulsan's second of the night, while he also created three chances, won four fouls and boasted a 92.6% passing accuracy.
Gotoku Sakai (below, centre) came fourth in the Stats Perform rankings after the Vissel Kobe full-back was a key figure in his side's 2-0 win over Shanghai SIPG of China PR.
The former Japan international, whose performance was rated at 7.9, was heavily involved throughout registering 95 touches, four tackles, four fouls won and one chance created.
Completing the top five is Suwon's Han Suk-jong who scored a stunning long-range goal for Suwon's third of the game against Yokohama to earn a 7.8 rating, while compatriot Kim Min-jae, 7.8, was in similarly influential mood for Beijing FC as the defender helped the CSL side edge FC Tokyo 1-0.
The Toyota Player of the Week top eight are rounded off by Ulsan Hyundai's Kim Tae-hwan, who earned a 7.6, and the goal-scoring captain of Suwon, Kim Min-woo, who was rated 7.5.
