Kuala Lumpur: After another thrilling set of fixtures in the 2021 AFC Champions League (West) on Monday and Tuesday, has announced the contenders for the best goal of the round. 

From cheeky finishes to flying headers and electric counter-attacks, the Matchday Five games saw some fine contenders for the accolade.

Persepolis went into the game looking for a fifth straight win, but Al Wahda netted the only goal of the tie after just five minutes as their Slovenian forward Tim Matavz punished a hesitant defence when he powered into the penalty area to smash a right-foot shot high into the roof of the net.

A fine counter-attacking move by Sharjah FC was capped by Khalid Bawazir's dinked pass into the path of Saleh who connected perfectly on the half-volley, hammering home his second goal of the campaign and his side’s second on the night in their 3-2 win over Iraq's Air Force Club.

With just six minutes to go against Al Duhail, Al Shorta found the winner and did so in style. Amjed Atwan whipped a cross from a set-piece into the far post and defender Saad Natiq headed it across the face of goal and downwards for Mohammed Dawood who controlled and back-heeled it into the back of the net.

Argentine star Luciano Vietto opened the scoring against AGMK in explosive fashion as he ran at the heart of the AGMK defence before slamming the ball in from 25 yards, giving little hope to Botirali Ergashev of keeping the shot out.
