Persepolis FC remained perfect in Group E as the Islamic Republic of Iran champions recorded their fourth successive victory with a resounding 4-0 win over hosts FC Goa. Shahriyar Moghanlou opened the scoring with his third of the campaign as the striker latched on to an inch-perfect through ball from Mehdi Torabi before producing a neat finish under goalkeeper Naveen Kumar.

FC Istiklol produced arguably the shock of the group stage so far as the Tajik champions stunned 2019 winners Al Hilal SFC by coming from a goal down to win 4-1. With the game tied at a goal apiece, Manuchehr Dzhalilov recieved the ball 20 yards out and sent a first-time effort fizzing beyond Abdullah Al Mayouf into the back of the net.
