AFC Champions League (EAST) Toyota Player of the Week: Bill
Doha: Chiangrai United's Bill has been voted by the fans as the 2020 AFC Champions League (East) Toyota Player of the Week after the striker's exceptional performance against FC Seoul last Friday.
The Brazilian striker's double saw the Thai side defeat their Korean opponents with his two goals coming from three shots on target, while he also made 26 passes for his 8.2 rating.
After his brace led Chiangrai to a historic first-ever win in the AFC Champions League, as well as netting their first-ever Continental goal, it's no surprise that the fans agreed with Bill topping the Stats Perform rankings.
Rated second in the Stats Perform was Spanish playmaker Jonathan Viera, who was in influential form for Beijing FC in their 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory as he earned an 8.1 rating,
The former Valencia CF and UD Las Palmas man had a hand in both goals against the A-League side as he opened the scoring on nine minutes before turning provider for Zhang Yuning's 35th minute strike that doubled the advantage.
With an 8.0 score, Yoon Bit-garam of Ulsan Hyundai rounded out the top three in the official rankings with the Korean midfielder putting on a passing clinic in the middle of the pitch.
Although the 30-year-old wasn't on the scoresheet this time round, he was heavily involved in proceedings as he made 98 touches and registered a 94.1% passing accuracy from 85 passes in Ulsan's 2-0 win over Perth Glory.
Another pass-master Takuya Kida(below, second from right) took fourth place in the rankings as the Yokohama F. Marinos midfielder tallied an impressive 109 passes with 97% passing accuracy.
The 26-year-old one club man also won two duels, made two interceptions and had a 100% tackle success rate to claim an 8.0 rating.
Yoon's teammate Junior Negrao, who registered a 7.9, had a second straight goal-scoring cameo off the bench, while defender Sanukran Thinjom shone for Chiangrai in their win over Seoul to pick up a 7.8 rating.
A pair of goalscorers, Kim In-sung of Ulsan Hyundai and Guangzhou Evergrande's Ai Kesen, earned 7.7 and 7.6 ratings respectively to round out the top eight players.
