Dhaka: Head Coach O Yun-son said DPR Korea's 4.25 SC are confident of winning when they take on Bangladesh’s Abahani Dhaka Limited in the first leg of the 2019 AFC Cup Inter-Zone Semi-final on Wednesday.

It may be a first meeting between the two sides but O said his team's lack of familiarity isn't a concern as 4.25 are confident of their abilities.

The DPR Korea side's AFC Cup pedigree is unquestionable as this is their third consecutive appearance in the Inter-Zone Semi-finals, a record which puts them on a firm footing against an Abahani side making their first appearance at this stage of the tournament.

“We haven’t played against Abahani before but we have watched the clips from their previous AFC Cup matches. Our team has analysed them and hopefully tomorrow we will be ready to face them,” said O at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

“There are several national team players in our side and that should boost our chances. If we can get a positive result here, we are confident of putting up a good show at home in the return leg.”

The two teams will meet again in Pyongyang on August 28 and 4.25 are determined to get to the Inter-Zone final and then the AFC Cup final.

They reached the Inter-Zone final last year but their title bid was derailed by Turkmenistan's Altyn Asyr who advanced to the AFC Cup final on away goals after the two-leg tie ended 3-3.

The Mario Lemos-coached Abahani, who advanced to the semi-finals from a tough South zone group, are equally confident of their chances but O said that isn't a worry for 4.25.

“We are not fazed by how Abahani have performed so far in the tournament. Tomorrow will be a new day and we want to approach it without any pressure. We have confidence in our abilities and that should reflect on the field,” he said.
