Hanoi went into the second leg at the Kim Il Sung Stadium knowing the odds were stacked against them for to advance to the final, the Vetnam side had to do what no team have ever done - defeat 4.25 on home soil.
Ahead of the return leg, the Korean side had an impeccable home record in the 2019 competition, having won all four of their games in Pyongyang, scoring 13 goals and conceding none along the way.
In fact, they have not suffered defeat at home since making their AFC Cup debut in 2017, in a run that now stretches to 15 matches.
In their two previous AFC Cup appearances, 4.25 reached the Inter-Zone semi-finals and the Inter-Zone Final and having made the AFC Cup final at the third time of trying, O Yun-son’s side will feel they are perfectly placed to lift the title.
