Gerald Pangkali – Persipura Jayapura
vs Warriors FC, March 12, 2015

Persipura were already five goals up against Singapore's Warriors when Gerald Pangkali rounded off the scoring in style by curling a beauty into the top right corner to delight the home support in Jayapura.

In seven seasons with his hometown club, Pangkali rarely got on the scoresheet, but when he did he provided the Persipura fans with moments to remember.


Sunil Chhetri – Bengaluru FC
vs Maziya, May 31, 2017

So often Bengaluru's saviour over the years, Sunil Chhetri produced the goods again in the final group stage game of of the 2017 competition, curling a fabulous effort into the top right corner for the only goal of the game against Maziya.

The Maldivian side had begun the game three points ahead of their Indian opponents and needing only to avoid defeat to advance, but Chhetri put paid to their challenge and showed once again just why he is revered at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.


Sayed Mohamed Adnan – Al Hidd
vs Safa, April 3, 2017

Sayed Mohamed Adnan's early goal separated Al Hidd and Safa in the 2017 group stage and the Bahrain international made sure of the three points when he rocketed in this free-kick with 10 minutes to play.

From fully 40 yards out, Adnan's stunning effort flew past Mohamad Taha in the Safa goal to put Al Hidd two goals up as they went on to claim successive wins over the Lebanese side before ultimately exiting at the first hurdle.


Yousef Nasser – Qadsia SC
vs Al Suwaiq, March 12, 2019

The 2014 champions Qadsia SC returned to the AFC Cup in 2019 and, while they may not have hit the heights of previous editions, Yousef Naser's Cristiano Ronaldo-esque free-kick against Al Suwaiq was one of the goals of the first round.

With the Kuwaiti and Omani sides goalless after half an hour, Nasser sent a wicked swerving effort beyond the outstretched Ammar Al Rusheidi and into the back of the net to open the scoring in a 2-0 win.


Nguyen Quang Hai – Hanoi FC
vs Altyn Asyr, August 20, 2019

Anywhere just outside the penalty area is Nguyen Quang Hai territory and in the 2019 Inter-Zone semi-final first leg, he showed Turkmenistan's Altyn Asyr exactly what he was capable of with a delightful effort that left goalkeeper Mammet Orazmuhammedov flat-footed.

With Hanoi FC a goal down as half-time approached, the midfielder bent the ball around the wall to level the scores with his first of two stunning goals in a 3-2 victory for the Vietnamese champions.
