“It was our best performance of the competition, as we achieved our first win and scored a lot of goals," said Bahri.

“We want to apologise for our fans as we couldn’t make it past the group. We could have qualified had we achieved a better result in one of the previous matches.

“The season is over for us and I believe that the current group of players, along with new additions, will help us achieve better results in the future."

Krouma was thrilled with his two goals and Tishreen's overall performance, with the midfielder named the Man-of-the-Match.

“We are satisfied with the result and performance as well which what we were looking forward to when we started the competition,” said the 31-year-old player.

“We made some mistakes in the previous matches which denied us a place in the next stage and we should learn from them for the future. The result was good for us and our fans are happy with this good ending to the season.”
