Bracket Challenge – Quarter-Final: Safawi Rasid (JDT) vs Lam Ka Wai (Kitchee SC)

Kuala Lumpur: As the AFC Cup Bracket Challenge draws ever closer to its conclusion, presents you with another couple of stunning efforts from years gone by in the second quarter-final. 

For the second successive day, the last eight features a contest between Malaysia and Hong Kong as Safawi Rasid's piledriver for Johor Darul Ta'zim in 2018 goes up against lovely effort by Kitchee SC's Lam Ka Wai from 2014.

Former Hong Kong international Lam defeated both ex-Erbil forward Amjad Radhi and Persija Jakarta's Rezaldi Hehanusa to get this far while Harimau Malaya superstar Safawi breezed past goals from Khalil Bani Atiyah for Al Faisaly and Oday Al Jafal for Syrian side Al Shorta.

In 2018 against Tampines Rovers, the forward offered a glimpse of his potential, taking one touch before rocketing home an unstoppable effort from distance to open the scoring in a 2-1 group stage win.

A goal up against Indonesia's Arema in the 2014 last 16, Kitchee's start was about to get even better. Lam Ka Wai receives a short throw-in just outside the left corner of the area, turns in between two defenders and sends a powerful side-footed effort into the roof of the net with what was a goal out of nothing that allowed the Hong Kong team to ease to a comfortable victory.
