Hanoi look ahead following 4.25 heartbreak
Pyongyang: Head coach Chu Dinh Nghiem said the journey continues for Hanoi FC following their 2019 AFC Cup defeat to 4.25 SC on Wednesday.
Hanoi were left frustrated throughout the contest at the Kim Il-sung Stadium as the 2019 V.League 1 champions struggled to break the deadlock as the game ended goalless in 4.25’s favour, with the Korean side advancing on the away goals following a 2-2 draw in the first leg.

Hanoi showed their versatility in the knockout stage - overcoming the likes of Ceres Negros, Becamex Binh Duong and Altyn Asyr as they scored an impressive 35 goals ahead of the return leg in Pyongyang.
Chu said their journey in the competition will help them improve move forward.
“When we qualified for the AFC Cup and reached the final of the Inter-Zone, it was very good for us as we have played many teams," said Chu.
“We have had good experiences and bad lessons in the journey, and I think they are good for us in the future.

A disappointed Du Hung Dung was left rueing at the missed opportunity Hanoi had against 4.25 and claimed that the Vietnam club will strive to improve.
“Our team have done their best today, I am happy about the performance of all our players,” said the Hanoi midfielder.
“But we were just a bit unlucky. We actually deserve to qualify for the next round, but anyway football is football, we have given our everything.
“We will keep going and try our best to go forward. If we have another chance in the AFC Cup next season, we will try our best.”
