The Dutchman spoke exclusively to the-AFC.com after the vote concluded to reflect on his winning goal.

"We were playing Lao [Toyota FC] in our first home game in the AFC Cup and we were all buzzing to get a win," recalled Klok. "The AFC competition was a new experience for us, so we really wanted to get a good performance in – especially when it was our first AFC Cup game in Indonesia.

"I remember telling my friends before the game: "Today I will score a worldie".

"The game started, and I missed a penalty... I've never missed one before in my life! So during the whole game, I had that urge to make up for it. And then I had my moment.

"The ball came in from the left side. I controlled it with my right foot. And I didn't think further, I just pulled the trigger. I saw it fly in like a rocket – of course, I felt great. I will always have a special feeling about this goal.
