Taipei: A brace from An Il-Bom helped 4.25 SC to a comfortable 5-1 win over Hang Yuen at the Taipei Municipal Stadium on Wednesday.
The DPR Korea club took control of the match almost immediately and came close to taking the lead in the 24th minute, but Om Chol-Song’s header was spectacularly saved by Huang Chiu-Lin.
The home side should have opened the scoring five minutes later when Yu Chia-Huang was played through one-on-one with the keeper, but after rounding An Tae-Song he could only turn his shot into the side netting.
The visitors finally took a deserved lead on the stroke of half time when an inch-perfect first-time cross from Han Song-Hyok was headed home by Om Chol-Song.
O Yun-Son’s men then doubled their lead with the last kick of the first half when An Il-Bom’s cross floated in at the back post.
4.25 SC put the game beyond doubt with two quick goals inside the first 15 minutes of the second half, firstly through substitute Rim Chol-Min’s curling effort from the edge of the box and then through An Il-Bom’s second of the night, a diving header at the back post.
The home side added a consolation goal late on when Liu Yung-Sheng netted in the 75th minute, but 4.25 SC were not finished for the evening with Ri Hyong-Jin firing home in the 88th minute to put the icing on the cake and make it two wins from two games for the DPR Korea club.
