Play-off - 2nd Leg: Master7 FC 0-3 Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC

Vientiane: Cambodia’s Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng SC booked their place in the 2020 AFC Cup group stage with a 3-0 win over Master7 FC of Laos in the second leg of their Play-off on Wednesday, advancing 7-1 on aggregate.

Two goals in the first half by Sam Oeun Pidor and Jean Marie Mbarga set the tone for Svay Rieng’s second leg victory as the C-League champions were hardly troubled at the National Stadium.

Svay Rieng will join Indonesia’s Bali United, Than Quang Ninh of Vietnam and the Philippines’ Ceres Negros FC in Group G, which starts on February 11.

Master7, who lost 4-1 in the first leg at the Phnom Penh Olympic Stadium in Cambodia last week, fell behind in the 22nd minute as Pidor cleverly lobbed the ball over goalkeeper Shota Wada before scoring into an empty goalmouth.

The Cambodian club then took a two-goal cushion just before half-time as Hoy Phallin timed his run well on the right before squaring it for an unmarked Mbarga to tap in from close range.

Svay Rieng continued to dominate in the second half and furthered their advantage in the 71st minute after Thiago Dos Santos beat the Master7 defenders inside the box before laying it to Phallin for a simple finish.
