Prior to winning their last-four match-ups, Chan's goal from 2015 had secured wins over Persipura Jayapura's Boaz Salossa, Safa SC's Mohamad Haidar and JDT's Safee Sali.
Ashfaq's goal from 2013, meanwhile, was deemed better than Kuwait SC's Rogerinho, Abahani Limited Dhaka's Sohel Rana and Hanoi's Nguyen Van Quyet as the Maldivian amassed six-figure votes in both the quarter- and semi-finals.
The final between Chan and Ashfaq will kick off on Wednesday, November 25 with voting open until Sunday, November, 29 when the winner of the AFC Cup Bracket Challenge will be announced.
Before the showpiece event begins, Safawi and Quang Hai have the chance to finish in the bronze medal position with the third place playoff scheduled to begin on Tuesday and finish on Saturday.
