Pyongyang: Two-goal hero Kim Yu-song paid credit to his teammates after 4.25 SC advanced to the 2019 AFC Cup Inter-Zone final on Wednesday.

Kim struck in the 49th and 83rd minutes as the DPR Korea side won the second leg 2-0 at the Kim II Sung Stadium in Pyongyang to see off Bangladesh side Abahani Dhaka 5-4 on aggregate.

Kim had a profound impact on the match, having come on as a substitute for An Il-bom in the 41st minute, as he scored his seventh and eighth goals of this season's AFC Cup to steer 4.25 into their second successive Inter-Zone final.

"I couldn't have scored the goals without my teammates," said the 24-year-old striker.

"Even though its me who gets the goals, all the players helped, so we share the happiness together," added Kim, who is appearing in his third AFC Cup campaign.

Up next for 4.25 SC are Hanoi FC and Kim will be aiming to replicate his form in the Inter-Zone final as O Yun-son's side look to erase last year's disappointment where they fell at the same stage to Turkmenistan's Altyn Asyr.

Head coach O said he was satisfied with 4.25's performance as they easily saw off Abahani's challenge.

"As you saw, the match went well. The whole team played well and our own methods worked out well," said O.

"We did, of course, miss a lot of chances to score, but I'm satisfied with the result."

Hanoi, who will host the first leg of the Inter-Zone final on September 25, will be a different test but Abahani head coach Mario Lemos believes 4.25 will more thah hold their own.

"We knew it would be a very, very tough match for us. We knew 4.25 have a lot of quality," said Lemos.

"They are a strong team, very, very strong. We tried to stop them, we tried but today, the best team won. They controlled the game, they were just better than us.

"We tried but...4.25, congratulations and good luck for the next stage."

Lemos, however, can reflect on a campaign where Abahani made history by becoming the first club from Bangladesh to advance to the AFC Cup Inter-Zone Semi-finals.

Their form in the group stage was impressive, as they also were in the first leg against 4.25, and Abahani will be aiming to stamp their mark again in the 2020 AFC Cup.
