Saudi Arabia 1-2 Lebanon

Both teams came into the tie having scored resounding wins on Wednesday - Saudi Arabia had defeated Qatar 5-2 - but it was Lebanon, quarter-finalists in 2018, who set the early tempo.

Their early aggression paid off in the sixth minute as Karim Abou Zeid struck the opening goal.

Saudi Arabia, however, were undaunted and both teams produced an outstanding display for the remainder of the first half but neither was able to find the net.

Lebanon started the second half on a perfect note when Ali Tneich widened their lead in the 23rd minute as they looked to be cruising to the three points.

Forward Abdulilah Mohammed Alotaibi narrowed the deficit in the 28th minute, setting the stage for an exciting finish as Saudi Arabia searched for the equaliser.

Lebanon, however, held firm to all but confirm their place in the 2020 Finals.

They face Qatar on Sunday while Saudi Arabia will play Oman.

Oman 3-0 Qatar

Oman dominated from the start and their early initiative was rewarded as Muatasim Riyadh Al Shamsi put them ahead in the fifth minute.

Qatar attempted a comeback but Oman continued to dictate terms and widened their lead in the 13th minute with Zamel Abdu Latif Al Balushi the goalscorer.

Qatar were forced to take the game to Oman, who soaked up the pressure before scoring a third in the final minute of the match through captain Samer Abdu Latif Al Balushi.
