Preview - Quarter-final: Thai Son Nam FC vs Shenzhen Nanling Tielang FC
Bangkok: Thai Son Nam head coach Pham Minh Giang knows his side will face a stiff challenge against China PR’s Shenzhen Nanling Tielang in the AFC Futsal Club Championship Thailand 2019 quarter-finals at the Bangkok Arena on Wednesday.
Thai Son Nam are unbeaten in the competition having scored 15 goals, and will be hoping to continue their run to reach the semi-finals but have Shenzhen standing in their way.
Shenzhen and Thai Son Nam have faced each other twice. Their 2013 encounter ended in a 2-2 stalemate while in 2015, the Vietnam club recorded a 5-1 victory.

Thai Son Nam have impressed with their resilience in Bangkok, especially in their wins against Uzbekistan’s AGMK and Al Rayyan of Qatar, where they had to come back from a goal down.
Head coach Pham believes his side have what it takes to overcome Shenzhen.
“We are ready to take on Shenzhen tomorrow. My players did well to reach the knockout stage and we will do our best to reach the semi-finals."
Thai Son Nam are one of the most exciting teams to watch but Pham admitted that some of his players are in need of rest after their group stage campaign.
“We don’t have anyone else injured apart from our No 10 (Vu Duc Tung). The other players just have minor bruises from previous matches.
“It’s a big game for us, we have a day’s rest and that will help the players with their physical conditioning.”
Shenzhen Nanling Tielang head coach Jurandir Azeredo admitted his team are the underdogs against last year’s finalists.
“We are happy to reach the knockout stage of the competition in a group where not many expected us to qualify. I want to thank my players for the commitment and dedication to win the games."
While Shenzhen will have Islamic Republic of Iran star Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh leading the charge, Azeredo said the match will be one of their toughest encounters in the tournament.
“The match is going to be a very difficult test for us as Thai Son Nam are the favourites to win. The are the 2018 finalists.
“I hope we play a good game against the Vietnam team and achieve a positive result. Of course, dreams are possible and I believe we can beat them.”
