Beijing: Head coach Antonio Vicente knows China PR are set for a test of their credentials in the AFC U-16 Championship Bahrain 2020 after being placed alongside several heavyweights in Group D on Thursday.
China PR will face three-time winners and defending champions Japan, Saudi Arabia, who won the title in 1985 and 1998 as well as rising Southeast Asian side Indonesia.
The young Team Dragon, having missed the 2018 edition, impressed in the Bahrain 2020 Qualifiers with a brilliant display of 28 goals as they won three games and drew one without conceding a goal.

"Each and every group game will be quite tough for us because our opponents are very strong," said Vicente in reacting to the draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
"They boast different tactics and styles of play, which will pose a serious challenge to our attacking options."
A place in the semi-finals will ensure China’s spot in the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2021 and Vicente stressed preparations for Bahrain 2020 must be thorough.
"We will do our utmost to bring out the best in ourselves. We will be working to make preparations in exhaustive detail and hope for the best," said the Spaniard to local media.
China’s test will begin against Japan on November 27 before meeting Indonesia three days later and Saudi Arabia on December 3.
