Qatar kick off AFC U19 Championship preparations with friendlies against Iraq
Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has named a squad of 34 players for their U19 side’s friendlies against Iraq.
Training kicked off on Thursday ahead of the two fixtures which will be played on November 12 and 15 at the Aspire Academy.

AFC Champions League: Young stars set to rise
The friendlies will serve as preparation for Qatar ahead of the AFC U19 Asian Championships which has been postponed to next year.
Qatar’ are in Group D with Malaysia, Yemen and Tajikistan and they will be aiming to add to the AFC U19 Championship title they won in 2014, having edged DPR Korea 1-0 in the final.
