Japan, who had beaten Guam 10-0 two days ago, settled quickly and took the lead through Omori Shingo in the seventh minute with the forward scoring his second five minutes later.

Mongolia regrouped to deny Japan after that but Haruyama Misaki struck in the second minute of added time to give his team a 3-0 lead heading into the half-time break.

Nakamura Takumi continued Japan's goalscoring spree in the 49th minute, before Kato Hijiri's effort made it 5-0 in the 66th minute.

Misaki scored his second goal of the game seven minutes later before completing his hat-trick when he converted a spot-kick in the 76th minute.

Guam 1-4 Vietnam

Vietnam enjoyed a 3-0 win over Mongolia two days ago, and after Japan had sealed a second successive win earlier on Friday, the Southeast Asians knew they had to also secure a victory.

That determination saw Vietnam take a fifth-minute lead through Nguyen Huu Nam, before Do Tan Thanh and Tran Quoc Dat made it 3-0 with goals in the 28th and 32nd minutes.

Guam, desperate for a win to revive their hopes, scored their first goal of the 2020 Qualifiers with Jacob McDonald pulling one back in the 33rd minute.

Huu Ham, however, restored Vietnam's three-goal advantage in the 86th minute as Guam's hopes were dashed.

The 11 group winners and four best runners-up will join hosts Uzbekistan in the 2020 Finals.

Tajikistan have already qualified as Group C winners and should Uzbekistan finish either top of Group F of the Qualifiers or are among the best four second-placed teams, the fifth best runners-up will qualify.

Group A of the Qualifiers - featuring Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Kuwait and Pakistan - will be played on November 22-30 in Muscat, Oman.
