Road to 2020 Finals kicks off in Dushanbe

Kuala Lumpur: The journey to the AFC U-19 Championship 2020 begins in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Wednesday.

Group C of the Qualifiers will swing into action earlier than the rest with Syria, Lebanon, Maldives and Tajikistan aiming to secure the automatic slot.

The remaining 10 groups will see qualifying action in November.

Matchday One for Groups A and G will be on November 2, while opening day for Groups B, D, E, F, H, I, J and K will be on November 6.

Top spot in the respective groups will earn direct qualification, while the four best second-placed teams will also advance to the 2020 Finals.

Uzbekistan has been nominated to host the Finals and should they finish either as group winners or emerge one of the best four runners-up, the fifth best second placed team will qualify for the Finals, scheduled for October 14-31, 2020.
