Group C - Matchday Two: USA 0-3 DPR Korea
Colonia Del Sacremento: DPR Korea bounced back from a heavy opening defeat to Germany by convincingly seeing off USA 3-0 and reigniting the charge to reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Uruguay 2018.
Amid an early downpour in Colonia Del Sacramento, USA initially shone through, but it was a short-lived supremacy as they were washed away as the reigning champions kicked into gear midway through the first half. The left flank was where the Koreans found most of their joy.
The first instance came when Choe Kum-Ok - a consistent thorn in the Americans' side - forced keeper Angelina Anderson into a save, with Ko Kyung-Hui unable to capitalise on the resulting loose ball.
However, they didn't make the same mistake five minutes later. Ri Kum-Hyang pounced after an almighty scramble in the USA box and the No 5 tucked away the opener.

Ko Jyong-Hui's effort from range kept the pressure on and it was just moments later it told again. Anderson was left to pick the ball out of her net after Kim Yun-Ok's ever-presence in the opening period was rewarded when she rose highest to dispatch a Korean corner.
After the break it was a similar story, with Song Sung-Gwon's team putting the game all but out of reach as Kim Kyong-Yong saw another corner result in a goal.
USA did not lie down as they looked to force their way back into the game in the face of continued pressure from the Asian champions, but it was to no avail.
