Kuwait FA part ways with Jozak
Kuwait City: Kuwait Football Association have parted ways with head coach Romeo Jozak following the 3-0 defeat to Australia in Group B of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The Kuwait FA decision came following “a meeting that was held to discuss the results of the national team in the past two rounds of the preliminary joint qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and AFC Asian Cup China 2023," read a Kuwait FA statement.

“The FA decided to consider the recommendations of the technical committee which advised to part ways with the technical staff of the national team."
The statement added that the technical committee will look for a replacement for Croatian Jozak - either a local or foreign coach - to manage the team who will take on Jordan on October 10 next in the Asian Qualifiers.

The defeat to Australia on Tuesday came just days after a 7-0 win over Nepal in their opening Group B tie. Chinese Taipei are the fifth team in the group.
The 46-year-old coach took helm of Kuwait national team in July 2018 just three months after being sacked by Polish outfits Legia Warsaw.
