Son makes clean sweep of Tottenham awards

London: Korea Republic international star Son Heung-min swept the board at the Tottenham Hotspur end-of-season awards following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Everton in the English Premier League.

The all-action forward, who couldn't feature against the Toffees, emerged from the tunnel after the match to collect Spurs' Goal of the Season award for his marvellous solo effort in the 3-1 win over Chelsea at Wembley on November 24.

With the majority of the Spurs fans still in their seats and enjoying the celebrations after the last game of the Premier League season inside the London side's new home, Son then came back out to pick up the trophies for One Hotspur Player of the Season, One Hotspur Junior Player of the Season and Official Supporters’ Clubs’ Player of the Season.

Over the course of the campaign, the attacker has scored 20 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions so far, with the UEFA Champions League Final against Liverpool still to come in Madrid on June 1.

Son is also expected to feature for Korea Republic in international friendlies against Australia (June 7) and Islamic Republic of Iran (June 11) in their build-up to the first round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar Qualifiers which kick-off in September.

Asia's preliminary round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar Qualifiers will be played on June 6 and 11, featuring 12 teams.
