AFC President attends European Club Association meeting

Doha: AFC President His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, attended the European Club Association Executive Committee meeting, which was held in Doha on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup™.

Delivering a speech at the beginning of the meeting, Shaikh Salman expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Nasser Al Khelaifi, President of the European Club Association, for his kind invitation to attend the meeting, praising the Association’s plans aimed at serving European clubs at various levels.

Al Rayyan: Tabrez Islomov has highlighted Jordan’s attacking trio of Mousa Al Tamari, Ali Olwan and Yazan Al Naimat as the threat Tajikistan must neutralise in their maiden AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ quarter-final at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Friday.

Islomov has prior knowledge of the trio as the teams played to a 1-1 draw in Group G of the Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ in November.
