Bishkek: Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa visited the Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic (FFKR) and held meetings with various football stakeholders of the Central Asian nation including the President of the Kyrgyz Republic HE Sooronbai Zheenbekov.
The AFC President also held an important meeting with FFKR President and AFC Executive Committee member Kanatbek Mamatov to discuss football development in Kyrgyz Republic as well as the Continent.
“Kyrgyz Republic has made tremendous progress over the years and you can see their results on the pitch,” said Shaikh Salman.
“This is my third visit to Kyrgyz Republic in the last four years and each time I have seen the remarkable progress both on and off the field.
“And now we have got a President who has been closely involved in the game as a reputed former professional footballer of this country, I am sure Kyrgyz Republic will start pushing the elites of Asia all the way in the coming years.”
