AFC President congratulates Amman Club for sealing women’s club title

Aqaba: AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has congratulated Jordan’s Amman Club for securing the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2021 Pilot Tournament (West) title after the host side defeated Shahrdari Sirjan from the Islamic Republic of Iran 2-1 at the Aqaba Development Corporate Stadium in Jordan on Saturday.

Heading into Saturday’s thrilling winner-takes-all decider, the five-time Jordan Women's Football League winners showcased incredible tenacity to leap from third place to finish as group leaders by virtue of a superior head-to-head record against their Iranian opponents who also finished with six points.

Shaikh Salman said: “On behalf of the Asian football family, I would like to congratulate Amman Club for displaying remarkable quality and desire to clinch the AFC Women’s Club Championship 2021 Pilot Tournament (West) title.
