Shaikh Salman underscores confidence in Asian heroines to create history

Kuala Lumpur: With the global spotlight shining on the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023, Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has outlined his confidence in the record six Asian teams setting new benchmarks at the global showpiece, which is set to kick off on Thursday.

The AFC President said: “Our women’s teams continue to exemplify the AFC’s Vision of ensuring Asia shines on the world stage and I would like to extend the best wishes of the entire Continent to China PR, Japan, Korea Republic, history-makers the Philippines and Vietnam, as well as hosts Australia; at the same time, we must also convey our well wishes to our team of AFC match officials.
