Shaikh Salman welcomes return of AFC Grassroots Football Day

Kuala Lumpur: The grassroots movement has made incredible progress across the Continent in recent years, and I am pleased to welcome the return of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Football Day on May 15, which once again reinforces our optimism towards the safe and successful resumption of Asian football in 2021.

Last year was an unprecedented time for everyone across the globe, and the AFC had to make the tough but necessary decision to cancel the event for the first time since its launch in 2013 to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our stakeholders above all else.
