Kuala Lumpur: The annual AFC Club Licensing Workshop was held in the Malaysian capital city of Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
The workshop, a get-together of club licensing managers and administrators in Asia, was attended by delegates from 24 AFC Member Associations.
The workshop discussed about the advances made by club licensing in Asia after the implementation of the online tool Club Licensing Administration System (CLAS).
The delegates also discussed about the second-tier club licensing system (AFC Club Licensing Regulations 2) aimed at bringing the less developed Member Associations into the fold of club licensing.
The provisions of the newly adopted AFC Club Licensing Regulations were explained in detail and the participants were updated on the AFC Futsal Club Licensing System, a project aimed at developing futsal clubs.
The workshop also discussed the role of the club licensing managers and concluded with an official dinner.
