Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is welcoming new participants to be part of the landmark Football Management Diploma (FMD) journey, with the fourth edition now open for registration. 

Since its launch in November 2021, the FMD continues to attract a diverse range of participants from across the Continent aspiring to be future leaders in Asian football.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted a Match Commissioner (MC) Seminar 2022 for the East Region in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from September 5 to 7, 2022. 

Joined by 17 participants from 10 Member Associations (MAs), the three-day seminar marked the first offline event that was organised by the Competitions & Football Events Division (CFED) since the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

We are still writing our story, says Kuala Lumpur City’s Josue

Kolkata: Captain Paulo Josue has challenged Kuala Lumpur City FC to fight on after the Malaysian side created history by advancing to the AFC Cup™ 2022 Inter-Zone Final on Wednesday. 

The debutants stunned home side ATK Mohun Bagan FC (ATKMB) 3-1 to become the first Malaysian side to make the Inter-Zone Final since the format was introduced in 2017. 

They will face fellow debutants PFC Sogdiana in the Inter-Zone Final on October 5 in what will be another massive challenge for Kuala Lumpur City but one which Josue believes his side will be up for.

Fernando urges ATK Mohun Bagan to keep working

Kolkata: ATK Mohun Bagan’s (ATKMB) AFC Cup™ 2022 campaign came to an end following their 3-1 defeat to Kuala Lumpur City FC in the Inter-Zone Semi-final on Wednesday but head coach Juan Ferrando wants his players to continue striving to reach greater heights.

An ATKMB victory looked to be on the cards after Fardin Ali Molla equalised in the 90th minute, only for the India side's hopes to be dashed when Kuala Lumpur City’s Fakrul Aiman and Romel Morales each scored in added time. Captain Paulo Josue had put the Malaysian side ahead in the 60th minute.

2nd AFC Coach Education Panel Meeting lay plans to improve coaching standards in Asia

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the 2nd AFC Coach Education Panel Meeting for the term 2022-2023 virtually yesterday to further strengthen the capabilities of coaches in Asia. 

Chaired by AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh, the meeting was attended by 17 panel members.
