Star-studded AFC Member Associations and Regional Associations Presidents’ and General Secretaries’ Conference 2023 kicks off

Tashkent: The Asian Football Confederation’s commitment to maximise the potential of its Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) reached a significant milestone with the commencement of the inaugural AFC Member Associations (MAs) & Regional Associations (RAs) Presidents’ and General Secretaries’ Conference 2023 today in Tashkent. 

In the presence of notable figures including the Republic of Uzbekistan Prime Minister His Excellency Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the two-day Conference, which is being hosted by the Uzbekistan Football Association, brings together Presidents and General Secretaries of the AFC’s MAs and RAs, as well as key representatives from FIFA’s global football family for the first time ever on a groundbreaking platform.

Qualifiers - Group D: Vietnam 6-1 Mongolia; Korea Republic 5-1 Nepal

Ulaanbaatar: Vietnam and Korea Republic opened their AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Thailand 2024 Qualifiers campaigns in resounding fashion after sailing past Mongolia and Nepal respectively in Group D at the Buyant Ukhaa Sport Palace on Saturday.

Vietnam defeated Mongolia 6-1, while Korea Republic notched a 5-1 win over Nepal.

Qualifiers - Group G: Iraq 2-1 Malaysia; Uzbekistan 6-1 Cambodia

Fergana: Uzbekistan and Iraq are the early pacesetters in Group G after both picked up wins in Group G of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Thailand 2024 Qualifiers at the Samo Sports Complex on Saturday.

Iraq kicked things off in Fergana with a 2-1 win over Malaysia while Uzbekistan produced a comeback to beat Cambodia 6-1.

#ACFutsal2024 Qualifiers - MD1 Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: The road to ultimate hardcourt glory on the Continent begins on Saturday when the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Thailand 2024 Qualifiers get underway.

Eight groups – six of four teams and two comprising three – will be played in a single round-robin format over three matchdays between October 7 and 13 at centralised venues to determine the final cast for the 17th edition of the tournament, set to be staged in Thailand from April 17 to 28, 2024.
