AFC VAR Course makes new breakthrough with real-time simulator experience

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s latest Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Course set a new milestone with the use of an online simulator to provide participants with case studies from competitions allowing real-time VAR processes to be reproduced.

During the simulator sessions, which featured simple and complex situations from matches, the main TV feed and VAR output were shown concurrently to allow participants appointed as Referees, VARs and AVARs to experience utilising VAR in real-time.
