ANFA football clinics provide meaningful experiences for underprivileged children

Madhesh: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s mission to use the beautiful game to impact underprivileged children continued recently in Nepal, where 400 excited boys and girls from one of its most remote provinces participated in football clinics and daily educational sessions.

Organised by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and supported by the AFC Dream Asia Foundation (ADAF), the first phase of the ANFA Football Clinic for Underprivileged Children in Madhesh province kicked off this January in five sites simultaneously over two days. The clinics will continue in seven more provincial sites, taking the number up to 12 for this initial phase.

Inaugural AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 gets underway

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) launched the first edition of the AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 on Tuesday, as it continues to maximise the capabilities of its Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs).

The initiative, which replaces the AFC Internship programme, will see one candidate each from the Palestine Football Association (PFA), Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) undergo an intensive training period while being guided by some of the most renowned experts in football governance.

AFC Certificate in Football Administration and Management expands series of innovative educational initiatives

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) today further underlined its commitment to developing future leaders within its Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) with the launch of the inaugural AFC Certificate in Football Administration and Management (ACFAM).

The online programme is the latest initiative from the AFC’s Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) and comes on the heels of their other breakthrough educational opportunities, including the AFC Certificate in Football Leadership and the AFC Certificate in Child Safeguarding.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) today celebrated their fifth batch of Football Management Diploma (FMD) graduates, who are now firmly on the path towards achieving management excellence.

The 41 graduates successfully completed the 11-month online programme by putting in 460 hours of study time over 12 bespoke modules that further emphasise the AFC’s commitment towards developing skilful and capable future leaders of Asian football.

Aimed at shaping game-changing future leaders of Asian football, the six-month ACFL is one of the latest offerings from the landmark AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE). It follows the AFC Football Management Certificate, which recently concluded its fifth edition and the AFC Football Management Diploma, which will also honour its fifth batch of graduates later this month.

“Football at School Programme” touches lives in Bishkek

Bishkek: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) marked a significant milestone when The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU)’s “Football at School Programme” had a positive impact on the lives of almost 600 children and 100 teachers in schools and orphanages across Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. 

The capacity building programme, supported by the AFC’s Dream Asia Foundation (ADAF), was designed to enhance the quality of Physical Education (PE) teachers from the region’s schools and orphanages by equipping them with the necessary knowledge required to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children under their care.
