Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011 Conference to be held on 30 November-2 December 2011 in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur will present a recap of referees’ performances during the competition's finals in January in Doha.
AFC Elite Refereeing Instructor Ishiyama Noboru from Japan will make the presentation entitled “The Asian Cup Referee Synopsis” on the first day of the Conference, the first ever such a conference for the premier national competition in the continent.
The event, organised by AFC, aims to discuss technical and playing trends in Asia, competition format and player development bench-marked against international standards.
Other presentations will be on the structure and outcomes of the 2011 tournament, future tournament proposals, technical and tactical impressions, medical findings, national coach presentations and technical recommendations which are hoped to lead to a better on-field performance.
Noboru’s presentation will delve into the following topics:
-- Selection of referees.
-- Referee support team.
-- Most common infringements and why.
-- Better referee-player cooperation methods.
-- Better coach-referee cooperation methods.
The Head Coaches and Technical Directors of the top 20 nations in the 2011 championship as well as other invitees are expected to attend the Conference, which has laid down a comprehensive a programme to dissect the participating teams’ performances and preparations in the 2011 Asian Cup.
